ARE DOGS ALLOWED AT BRUTON MEADOW CAMPSITE
Yes! Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. We ask that you clear up after your pets using the bins provided so that others may enjoy the open spaces.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY AT BRUTON MEADOW CAMPSITE?
If we are required to close due to COVID you will have the options to postpone your stay or request a full refund.
Cancellations made by you due to bad weather, travel failure, illness, late arrival, early departure or members of your group not showing up do not qualify for a refund.
WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN?
Check in for open camping and touring pitches is from 14:00 each day and for glampers is 16:00 each day. Glampers can access the site from 14:00 on the day of arrival but may not be able to access their accommodation until 16:00. Check in closes at 20:00 each day. If you think you might struggle to arrive in time you must contact us to discuss your travel plans.
CAN I BRING A GENERATOR?
We do not allow private generators at Bruton Meadow Campsite. If you require power for medical reasons then please use the contact us form to discuss this with a member of our team.
CAN I BRING A GAZEBO OR EVENT SHELTER?
Any additional structures such as gazebos and event shelters are subject to an additional charge of £5 per night per structure. This can be paid for at the point of booking or added at check in.
WHERE DO I PARK AND HOW MANY CARS CAN I BRING?
There is a designated parking area situated in very close proximity to the campsite. Barrows will be available for hire to move your belongings to your pitch.
Each booking includes parking for 1 car and additional cars will be charged at £5 per night each.
AM I ALLOWED FIRES AND BBQ'S?
BBQ's are allowed at Bruton Meadow Campsite as long as they are off the ground.
Open fires are allowed in off the ground fire pits. We have a limited number available for hire at the check in office. Reserve your fire pit when booking to not be disappointed.
Charcoal and fire wood is available for purchase at the check in office.
ARE THERE ANY SHOPS NEAR BY?
Gilcombe Farm Shop is located a short walk from the campsite and stocks all the essential items you might need for your stay. From local meat and cheese to fresh fruit and veg, tins and jars to sweet treats and alcohol and even a small selection of cleaning products and toiletries.
IS THERE A CURFEW FOR NOISE?
The campsite is split into zones so that we can accommodate all groups. Our general camping zone has a music curfew of 23:00 but we do allow low level chatter until later. Our quiet zone has a music curfew of 21:30 and we ask that any noise is kept to a minimum from then on.
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY RUBBISH?
At check in you will be issued with a mixed recycling bag and a general waste bag. Please ensure you split your waste accordingly keeping any glass separate.
Large bins located by the check in office are clearly labelled for waste disposal. Please help us to recycle where possible.
DO YOU TAKE GROUP BOOKINGS?
We do not accept group bookings for stag or hen parties.
Bruton Meadow Campsite has heaps of space and there are no allocated pitches. Groups are welcome to camp together but we must ask that you adhere to current COVID guidelines set out by the Government.
IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO DISPOSE OF MY CARAVAN TOILET WASTE?
Yes there is a designated waste tank for any chemical toilet waste. We ask that you do not dispose of this in our compost toilets as it will contaminate the system.
